Server 2007 - Tasks showing up in PWA under the project file creator instead of task resource.

I have Project Server 2007 setup and all my users (resources) created
with "User can be assigned as a resource" checked and using thier
domain login. I have created a project and created the team from the
enterprise. While in Project 2007 everything appears to be normal, I
can assign tasks to different employees. The problem arises however
when I go to PWA, all the tasks show up in the "My Tasks" list of
whoever publishes the project. I've tested this with another person,
if he checks out the same project, changes the owners, and publishes
the project, then all the tasks show up in his list of "My Tasks",
even though the "Resource Name" column shows the correct owner.

Any ideas on how to correct this?

You missed a step in creating the resources in Project Server 2007. You
need to specify a value in the Default Assignment Owner field for each
resource in the system. You must specify this value from the Project Center
page in PWA, and must do this for each resource individually. You must
select the resource's own name as the Default Assignment Owner. For
example, for the resource Mickey Cobb, you must designate Mickey Cobb as the
Default Assignment Owner. This field determines who sees task assignments
in PWA. In your enterprise project, you can work around this problem by
temporarily inserting the Assignment Owner field in the Task Usage view, and
then selecting the name of each resource individually in this field. After
doing so, republish your project. Hope this helps

Yes, this was in fact the problem. I discovered the answer in another
thread that really wasn't related. :)

Thanks for the answer, it's more concise here. ;)

For anyone else that hits this problem, to update your project files,
once you have changed all the Assignment Owner fileds, you need to
remove the current name in the Resource Names column (delete it), then
re-add it and it will update the Assignment Owner column (you can add
this column to verify the data) with the correct owner.

Thanks!
