Server Based Web Problem

Hello All,
I just recently changed from a disk based web to a server based web (as the disk based web didn't do my subwebbing). However, since I change, when I try to do a hyperlink, the items in my web are not longer listed. The only way I can link it is if I leave the file open in front page and then when I do hyperlink, it is listed as open. But otherwise, my pages don't show up on the list.

A subweb is a distinct logical unit from the parent web, and should not be
considered as part of the parent web. FrontPage respects this division. For
this reason, all links from subwebs to parent and/or other subwebs must be
absolute.

oh I understand that. What I am talking about is within the subweb. If I
am in a web, I can't see any of the files and folders within that web (I was
when it was disked based though)
