Server Busy Switch to.....

J

JMW

Oh dear.
Having just solved the "Managed Mapi Catastrophic error; Could not
initialise CLR Unknown error 0x8013150A" problem (by running scanpst.exe, it
would seem) I couldn't help downloading some more addins from Microsoft for
Outlook 2003.
I have Windows XP media centre edition and my Acer Aspire 5580 has Orbit
Cam. SO while i was trying to reload outlook backup (it seemed to have failed
in amongst all the other problems and despite re;loading still doesn't seem
to work) i downloaded the email video addin.
Rebooted Outlook and clocked Video.
I get the message: "You do not have a video cam attached to your USB port.
Please confirm." (or words to that effect) So I selected Acer Orbit cam and
got the oft repeated pop-up message "Server Busy. This action cannot be
completed because the other program is busy. Choose "switch to" to active the
busy program and correct the problem."
Clicking "Switch to" takes me to the start menu and then nothing. If I click
Orbit cam on the start menu (and even if I don't) the message keeps
re-appearing.

Incidentally, as apart fo trying to recover the Managed Mapi problem I have,
in a varity of combinations and sequences, Used System restore, uninstalled
Norton Security suite and reloaded it, and suffered the interminable reboots
every time I run update,, run Office (small business) repair option from the
CD, run detect and repair from within outlook, run reinstall business contact
manager and outlook 2003 from the busness manager update CD and various other
actions. Then i downloaded the addins, one to re-install outlook back up from
which the only benefit seems to be that i get the "load.dll is not a valid
addin" message twice instead of once and this new problem which appears to be
associated with the Acer Orbit cam.
Do i simply uninstall video in email?
How easy is that?
Why doesn't it work with the built in camera?
