server cannot be found..

Hello,

Today one of our workstations can not find our mail server. He gets the
message "The pop3 server name you specified cannot be found" It worked
everyday before and works on the other 60 workstations we have. We are
using outlook 2000. I have deleted and reentered his profile with a
different name. Strange thing is the same computer cannot find this mail
server or any other in Outlook OR outlook express. Please help!!!

Are you able to connect to the emil server at port 110
how are you connected to internet, how abt DNS can you resolve the email
server name
try the follwing and see what messge do you receive

start - run - cmd
TELNET pop3.yourispname.com 110
let me know the response
you should get the following

Trying A.B.C.D...

Connected to pop3.yourispname.com
