Server Connection Times Out

I am working with Frontpage 2000. Up until recently
there has been no problems with the program. Lately I
have been getting a message that reads "Server Connection
Timed Out" when opening the program to modify the site
offline. Is someone able to identify why and what can be
done to correct the situation so that I can make changes
offline?
