server could not parse when connecting to server

I am using FP2002. When I try to connect to the server I get the following
message: "The server sent a response which FP could not Parse. If you are
trying to connect to a FP Server, check with the server's AP Administrator to
make sure the FP server extensions are installed properly".

I have checked and FP Server extensions are installed. Sometimes it will
allow me to connect, other times not. I am trying to publish from a Windows
2000 computer to a Windows NT server. This has worked in the past and I have
no trouble publishing to a second NT server.

Try opening your online web in FP and running a Tools Site Settings Advanced - Delete files and a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
- also a server health check (or have your host run it)
