Server error message

Hello:

I am receiving a server error message when I publish in FrontPage 2003
(Windows XP Pro): "Server error: Cannot create folder "_vti _cnf""

I did a remote publish from the host's server to FrontPage on a new computer
(I had built a new computer and installed all new software) -- I term this as
a "reverse publish." All seemed to go well until I attempted to perform a
regular FrontPage publish back to the host's server.

Upon publishing the following message appears: Server error: Cannot create
folder "_vti _cnf". This folder is now empty. Even after FrontPage
extensions have been uninstalled and reinstalled the error message continues
to appear. It appears that everything else publishes properly. I can access
the site and I believe that I have accessed all pages. Nothing seems to be
out of place or missing.

This error message appears quite near the end of publishing, and after I
acknowledge the error message the publishing completes and all appears to be
AOK. The website looks fine and all appears to be there that should be there?

I went back to my old computer and the only thing that I found in that
folder, _vti _cnf, was the following: index.htm 1 KB HTML Doc -- as I
mentioned, this is now missing in that folder on the new computer (folder
_vti _cnf is now empty).

FYI, this site is not a password protected site.

I thought about deleting the _vti _cnf folder in that there is nothing in
it, now, although there was, as stated, on the old computer. Would that be a
mistake?

The hosting service doesn't have an answer.

I've scratched my head and looked at everything I can think of, but I can't
come up with an answer! Can you help? I would greatly appreciate your help
and resolution to this problem/mystery.

Thanks,

Patrick
