Server errors

I am getting the following error message and can't do anything with the site.
I use Front Page 2003.

Server error:Cannot close ".service.cnf.tmp"

Can delete, edit or publish to the site. Can anyone help

have your server admin (host) repair your FrontPage extensions (remove and
reapply is usually OK too.
