Server Extension Compatibility

In the past I was told by an MVP that, as long as my ISP was using FP
2000 extensions, I could not upgrade my FP beyond 2000 or they would
not be compatible. Is there a KB that shows compatibility between
different versions of FP and FP extensions?

You can indeed use FP 2002 or FP 2003 with FP 2000 server extensions, you
just can't use any FP features that require the FP 2002 extensions:

That's incorrect

The SE are generally independent of the FP client software
- although it is always preferable to have the latest FP SE
You can upgrade to at least FP2002
- the only issues you will have are the new FP2002 features only supported by the FP 2002 SE
See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=281532

For FP 2003 it is recommended you have a host w/ the FP2002 SE

You can upgrade to 2002 or 2003 but only the extension features supported by the
2000 extensions will be usable so anything new in FP 2002 or 2003 that uses
extensions will not work with the server using 2000 extensions - it doesn't
prevent you upgrading your FP software and using the product, it just means you
can't use any of the new features of the 2002 extenions (which is what FP 2003
also supports).

Thanks. That clears it up for me.
