I had asked my host to reset my FP extensions.
All of a sudden I could do nothing. When I acccessed the site all the files
were owned by "nobody"
When I quieried the Hosting service they told me that FP REQUIRED it to be
that way and I could eithe rown the files and use FTP to access or have them
set to being owned by "nobody" and use FrontPage
(BTW they have always suggested logging in vial frontpage as WEBMASTER)
Anyway, I had them set it back up with myself as owner and all seems well -
I can access via FTP if needed OR log in with my username (not "webmaste")
and password
They ween't explaining it real well. I have had a couple of issues where the
owner name was mangled and had to be reset but in my 4rd year with them I
have never seen "nobody" as owning the files nor had any trouble accessing
the files
Does anyone know what they are talking about?
Thanks
Rick
