I need to type the service mark symbol into a document, but can't find it in
any of the fonts. I found tm, c, r, but no sm. How can i do this?

Tough one. You may just have to use a capital S and a capital M in
superscript. No, it's not exactly like the trademark symbol but at least you
will have done what you can.

Also - it appears that you may be able to use the R symbol to indicate that something is a registered trademark/service mark. I found the following thru Google.

a.. Apply the Trademark and Service Mark Symbols Correctly. Always use the registered trademark and service mark symbol "®" when referring to our registered marks (e.g., Powered by Groove®). Use the unregistered trademark symbol "TM" when referring to our unregistered trademarks (e.g., GROOVE VIRTUALTM). You must use the proper symbol with each of our marks, and apply the symbols consistent with the examples in the Branding Guidelines, in every copy of the communication, document, packaging or other material in which our mark appears, regardless of the medium. The Branding Guidelines contain a list of our registered and unregistered marks.

(Sorry this isn't in plain text, it messes up the TM.)
