Service pac 3 - Office 2000 Professional

I have tried to install service pac 3 to my office 2000
professional five times. I keep getting a pop-up box
stating the expected version was not found and stops the
install. I have windows 2000 Pro and office 2000 pro.

You will need to install Office 2K SP1a first. You can download it
from the MS site. It's around 54Meg.

Then you will have another problem that DATA1.MSI is not valid for
this installation. That's the point I'm up to and are about to give
up. I'm putting in the same disk 1 that I installed from but no luck.

Good luck. Why this can't be as easy as a normal Windows service pack
is beyond me..
