Service Pack sync between Professional and Project Server 2007

When Project Server 2003 was running, it required keeping service pack
numbering in sync project professional 2003, sharepoint and project sever.
For example, if Project Professional was at SP1, then SharePoint and Project
Server had to be at SP1. The same as true for SP2.

I have not seen any articales indicating this is true for Project Server 2007.

Can anyone point me to a link or blog that says that service packs have to
be all in sync or if it doesn't matter any more.

The answer to that is hotfix specific. I think all SP's need Project Pro and
Project Server in sync, but some hotfixes are Pro or Server specific.
Installation instructions should say.
