Set defaults for Find Dialog Box

I had posted this message in another Newsgroup the end of January but
had no response. I'm hoping that this group could help.

At the local PBS TV station, they are using Office 2003. When we use
Find, either via the Menu or the Toolbar, the Find Dialog Box opens
properly. There are several options on the Dialog Box. We are having
problems with the "Search fields as formatted" option. We de-select the
option, remove the check mark, so all occurrences will be found. When
we select Find again, the "Search fields as formatted" option is
selected again and we have to de-select the option again.

I have tried the following code, but it does not seem to set the defaults;

DoCmd.GoToRecord acForm, "All Volunteers", acFirst, 1
DoCmd.GoToControl "Last Name"
SendKeys "%hs%n", False
RunCommand acCmdFind

Would someone give me some assistance on this matter.
