I have a form in Access 2000 (connected to SQL Server 7)showing records
which are sorted according to a Reference No.
If I try and filter for a particular reference number, odd things happen.
The first time I do it, if I set it using the Right Click facility, it jumps
(momentarily) to the required record, and then goes back to the original
record. If I set it again, also using the Right Click facility, it works as
it should.
If I check the form filter settings after the first attempt by using the
toolbar button, it shows a blank filter. If I check it after the second
time, it shows the reference number required in the appropriate field, as I
would expect.
What is happening, and why? (and how can I stop it!)
