Set Focus to empty???

I have a form with a subform. I need to enable and
disable fields on the subform from the parent form. But
when one of the fields on the subform has the focus, I get
a message saying I cannot disable a control that has the
focus.

Is there any way I can set the focus on the subform
to "empty" so that no control has the focus?

I know I can set the focus to a control. What I want to
do is to set the focus so that NO control on the subform
has the focus.
