set own pictures as desktop background

Each time I try to set one of my own pictures as my desktop background,
nothing happens. I am doing exactly what the help instructions tell me to do,
but still nothing. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Even if you haven't
and you think you may know what's wrong, please respond!

Not an Office issue. Please pose your question to the group for the
operating system you are using. Likely Windows XP or perhaps 2000 or Vista?

Yeah, I'm working with XP. Where do I go for XP questions? Is it easy to
access like this? Is it even the same website?

There should be Operating systems Windows over in the left pane of where
you are now.

I can't tell which website you're coming in from. Microsoft is very bad
about filtering options for users. They seem to think it helps (which it
very well may), but the fact that a user cannot easily find additional
groups (like Windows groups if they're on Office Online) is a real
disservice.

Anyway, here's a list of web interface Microsoft groups for you:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx

Click microsoft.public.windowsxp on the list at the left so you can see the
various WinXP groups.

When you post there, you should mention exactly which steps you're taking.
It's not guaranteed that everyone will end up looking at the same Help page
you are, because the search terms you use in Help determine what Help pages
you see.

Thanks for the info, I looked through the "communities" quite a while
ago. And it looks like they changed it to "you can't get there from
here, you have to be somewhere else!"

LOL! (It's soooo frustrating, though!)
