Set Reminder for Tasks

I created a subfolder of Tasks to help organize different things i am
tracking. If i set a reminder in the main Tasks folder it will accept
my reminder to the calender. For some reason all sub-tasks that i
create will not allow me to save reminders. I get the following error
message:

-The reminder for "test" will not appear because the item is not in
your calendar or tasks folder. Is this ok?-

Any advice would be great
