I have bought the Teacher/student edition of Office 2004 for mac from
Amazon .eu. I'm using a new 17" iMac OS10.4.10. bought in Portugal
with Portuguese Keyboard , System Prefs language is Portuguese. I have
tried to make Portuguese the default language for Word in Tools/
Language etc and in Word Prefs - Spelling & Grammar and "Find &
replace/Format/Language etc" Keep getting " Word cannot start
spelling checker. The spelling checker files are missing...etc". I
have re-installed Proofing tools from Disc, still get same alert and
Word freezes requiring force quit.
Can anyone help?
