Setting lookup tables for base fields

Is it possible to set lookup tables for some of the "base" fields like Group
and Code in Resources? I can create a custom field but is it possible to use
the base fields and point them to lookup tables?

No, it is not possible to attach a standard field custom as Group or Code to
a Lookup Table. You must use custom fields for this purpose. Hope this
