Setting parameters in Excel and then retrieving data from Access

Hello,
based on parameters provided in Excel by the user, I want to retrieve
data from MS-Acess. Say, providing data and curency code in Excel, the
corresponding exchange-rate needs to be retrieved from MS-Access. How to
do this without having to import all the Access data into Excel ?

One way is to use MS Query (Data>Import External Data>New Database
Query). It allows you to add parameters as criteria. You can enter these
when prompted, or refer to cells on the worksheet.
