Setting "Prices" for Ads...

Using Publisher 2003, how do you set prices for ads and menus so the
smaller "dollar sign" and "cents" align at the top...I have never
figures this one out..Thanks

Yes, JoAnn, I did try the superscript. I have used MS Publ. since the
very first edition, but for some fool reason I never resolved this
issue. The superscript does not raise the numbers or dollar sign such
that the top edge of all the characters align. Am I making myself clear
on this point? There must be a way so you can place ads in the paper and
set up menus....
Thanks for responding.

I see what you mean. Superscript characters are higher. I think you may have
to either accept the characters in regular font or higher than the rest of
the font. You probably could do this in other programs but that wasn't your
question. (Personally I like the idea of all of the font being the same size
but then again I wear progressive lenses and really hate places that persist
in using dim lights and teeny tiny fonts.)

Thank you for the confirmation.
Again - Pub 2003 - let's set up a particular case ($ 10 95):
With the font Arial Bold, set at 36 points, when you set superscript
they are much higher than the "dollar" numbers like 10. But when I tried
Bookman, Type 1 it was ok, and Cooper black TTF was pretty good also.
Maybe Quark or some other program treats this superscript a different
way. I don't know....
Thanks for your time and efforts. If I ever find anything about this I
will let you know.
Thanks again.

Thanks Mary,
THink I'll use my time doing OTHER pointless things ;)
Maybe Quark or some other program is what the tabloids use. They may
treat superscripts differently....who knows....

You may want to take a look at Serif PagePlus. It is very similar to Pub
as far as learning but includes Super/Subscripts that can be moved up or
down. It also has a built-in pdf "printer." Check www.serif.com for details.

Brian,

I'm telling Patrick on you!!!

Actually, this feature has been around for several versions. I need to
do ads for a grocery store from time to time, and it comes in really handy.
