Setting resource to 'log on' not working

James Culshaw

Hi,

when I check the box to allow a resource to logon to project server and
provide correct credentials I am sure it should also create a WSS account of
the same name. In my new environment this does not seem to be happening.

Can anyone shed some light onto the matter?

Thanks,

james :)

Assuming you are using Project Server 2003, when you set up a user account
to use Project Server authentication rather than Windows user account
authentication, WSS does NOT create an account for the user and the user
CANNOT access Risks, Issues, and Documents. This is the default behavior of
the system. Therefore, you may wish to reconsider using Project Server
authentication in your system for regular user accounts. Hope this helps.

I am using Server 2007. When I go into the resource pool and select user can
log on I set windows authentication and provide theor AD logon. It doesn't
filter through to the SharePoint site access.
