Setting Target Frame?

I have made my initial frame page: left column for contents links, and main
window where linked pages should show when hyperlinks are clicked. But, it
isn't working. When I click on one of the links in the contents column it
takes me to the full page of the link instead of showing the linked page in
the target window. Can someone help me get this to work?

when you create the link in the links dialogue, you have to set the
*target* to be the frame you want the page to open in. Click the Target
button, and choose the frame's name.
