Setting the end of day?

I've got a rule configured to sort messages based on date. I receive a
number of reports and sort them by the month they were sent.

Around 5:00 on the last day of the month, they switch over to the next
month. According to the Calendar options in Outlook XP, my work day
ends at 8:00pm.

Can anyone tell me why it insists on 'flipping over' at 5:00pm?
