Setting the RTF in MS Project Task Notes

I am trying to manipulate MS Project Task Notes via
automation. The problem is that while I can retrieve and
set the text, it does not appear that I can do the same
with the text formatting information - i.e. I can't seem
to get or set the RTF.

Is there a way to do this?
