Setting up and transferring address book and past emails in folder

I am wanting to setup Outlook as my email center. I understand the basic
setup, but how do I do it without losing my email history(folders) and my
address book? One time I tried it, I thought I had it cuz it tells me the
number of transferred files, etc, but it doesn't bring in new emails. I hope
this makes some sense to somebody.

Thanks

Well no, actually, it doesn't make sense. What email client are you
currently using?

I have comcast broadband and get my emails thru MSN mail. I want to set
Outlook as my default email and I want to transfer my saved emails and
address book to Outlook. How do I get that stuff transferred so I don't lose
it in the process of going to Outlook?(2003, by the way)

I think you can access your MSN email by installing the Outlook Connector -
Addressbook, you may need to find out in what format MSN will export it, and
whether Outlook is able to import that format...
