We need to ask, where did you get the copy of Office you installed? If it
is a retail version you will be able to install and activate it but you may
need to use telephone activation rather than the internet. If this copy
came with the computer and is OEM, you need to contact the company where you
bought the software and the computer and have another CD and key mailed to
you. The original OEM would have "died" with the computer. That is one of
the disadvantages of "owning" an OEM licensed copy of the software. Even if
the computer dies 1 minutes after activation, the software also dies.

Sorry, I don't remember off hand how many shots you'd get for a boxed
version...which I'll assume is what you have since you say YOU
installed it on your other computer.

As long as the software didn't come preinstalled with the old
computer, you can still install it on a new computer. But keep this
URL handy in case you need further help.

What happens if you no longer have the CD? I am upgrading from an older
laptop to a newer laptop. I currently have Office XP Professional with
FrontPage on my old laptop and would like to put that program onto the new
laptop but went through my files and can't seem to find the CD. I know it
did not come with the laptop originally. Is there a way to add the program
without the CD? I have 4 CDs that I can't exactly identify. They are all
components of Office Professional, but I can't tell if they are exactly what
I need or not.
