Setting up multi similar projects

Hi,
I am trying to set up 5 similar projects (process upgrades) that will occur
in the same time and have the same start and finish date (fixed finished date)
Some resources are shared among the projects
Follow up meetings happen every Thursday
Project memebers must come to the meetings prepared (tasks that must finish
before the meeting)
I need to give every memeber a dated assignment list (something like a "who
will do what when") but when I generate the report, it starts all the tasks
on all the projects together from the start date, which creates a lot of work
in the beginning of the project, a gap in the middle without work and then a
lot of work at the end of the project

Another piece of info is that the resouces do not work 100% of the time on
projects (for example, if they have a 40 hours week, they work 20% on all 5
projects)

What is the best way to go about setting up such interweaving projects?

Hi,

Project can nicely solve that... at least whgen you drop the (useless,
sorry) requirement that each has to work 20% on each of the projects. I
suppose they have to spend the necessaruy time opn tasks to match the
deadlines, then automatically their time will be "split".
This being said:
Create the tasks
Create links and (the manay many) constraints
Assign the resoruces 100% to the taks tehy're assigned to
Tools, Level repources, Resource leveling, level now.

That will give a better result already!

Hi Jan,
Thanks for the reply. It seems that it should work, but I am missing
something:
I revised the project constraints and did the leveling as you recommended,
but this give me and error message for 3 people that are "over allocated" and
project cannot resolve, also it stretches tasks beyond predecessor
constraints (meaning that if I have a task that "must finish" on a certain
date, and it has a predecessor, when I do leveling, the predecessor finishes
after the "must finish" task)

I have all tasks set to fixed duration. I have some dates that I have to
meet and I need to know what OT I need to put to have the tasks finish by the
specific dates

Hope my explanation is clear
