setting up outlook for the first time

basically can someone tell me what the prcedures are to set up outlook to
work with my hotmail, or just basically how can i set it up to send and
receive emails.when i click send /receive, it comes up with error code
(ox800cc32) access to the account was denied, the server responded
"authorization requested"

Since this information varies with the Outlook version, perhaps you should
state that first.
