setting up project server when sharepoint is a hosted solution

Hi
We currently have our Sharepoint services hosted by a 3rd party. However,
this 3rd party does not offer an option of hosting project server.

So my question is, is it at all possible to host project server ourselves or
elsewhere and have it integrate with the Sharepoint hosted solution?

Though technically possible, I expect your hosted provider won't give you the
rights to have the sharepoint site modified by the project server
installation.
Installing PS2007 will install WSS3.0 for you anyway (which if FOC), so you
could just set up links to point between the two sharepoint environments for
collaboration.
