Settings Wizard = Missing Mail?

I

Ioliite

I just ran the Office Save My Settings wizard on my PC, to bring back my POP
E-mail account info. The .OPS file I chose was old (1yr+), but that didn't
bother me, since my POP info had not changed.

The wizard ran sucessfully, but when I went to browse to my PST mail file,
it had shrunk, a couple of hundred MB smaller.

Can the Save My Settings wizard remove .PST file data in this manner?

If you had not compacted your .pst file for some time, it will compact on
move. Do you see all of your items?
