After upgrading from access 2003 to access 2007 my switchboard does not open
automatically. I changed the settings under access options and I get the
message:
"you must close and reopen the current database for the specified option to
take effect"
So I close and reopen and the change does not save.
I checked the event viewer and there were no errors reported.
I am running access 2007 on windows vista and access is the front end and
sql 2000 is the backend.
I also have a different database that went through the same upgrade from
access 2003 to access 2007 and the switchboard opens automatically and
settings i change save when i reopen access, this database is also the front
end connected to sql 2000 so the only differences i see are the data and the
interface is different.
I am not a database designer, we dont have one any more so I am learning but
I am an extreme beginner.
Please let me know if there is a solution to my problem.
Thanks in advance
