Setup a Home Office

N

Nascarman

Need advice/best practice strategy for a typical (Wireless) Home Office
setup. I own the following apps (w/several licenses per each) with multiple
desktop workstations, laptop, server and Linksys SRX router and NICs
(4000dn/400up broadband cable ISP).
W2K3 Server (have Citrix MPS as well)
Office Pro 2003
Other general type apps
Naturally, I want to share files locally and host an interface to the
internet to access remotely, as we do travel some. We will operate two
completely different businesses. One will be remote consulting oriented. The
other is a retail type franchise (independent consultants do home show
selling) which is currently very successful and functions fine w/just
internet access to the franchisor. More than likely I have over-kill (OS/app
wise) but want to keep it simple.
Current scenario does NOTemploy a server/domain and the wireless technology
is not really up to par, network connectivity wise.
Many thanks in advance!

Hi, Nascarman,

You may have better luck posting to a networking or operating system type of

how they are installed on your computer.

Thanks Susan and John!
I'll check those out because the main issue is "wireless networking".

On another note, I'm having issues with my Outlook 2003 PST files after a
complete reinstall on my laptop. Is there an article you know of offhand that
deals with setting up a new Outlook 2003 install with existing PSTs? I really
think part of the trouble is, and has been, upgrading to the 2003 version. My
older PSTs were the older format.
Thanks Again,
Nascarman...vvvvrrrrrooooomm
