Setup Files of 2007 are corrupted therefore no uninstall

Call me stupid (and I probably was) however, I ran a 2003 installation while
2007 was installed. Consequently, while everything works well, Outlook will
not. I then restored to period before 2003 install but now cannot uninstall
anything nor can I run a Diagnostics to repair. Will I have to reformat to
achieve my goal of getting back to Office 2003? In addition, I use the MS
utility that backs up my files. Even though it has been backing up 2007,
will 2003 Outlook be able to read those files?

What MS utility are you referring to?
