Setup messages being received on bottomof screen

I would like to seehow many messages are being downloaded when I click on
"send and receive". This used to be available and somewhere along the line
it got removed. Am usingoutlook on Windows XP

You don't state your Outlook version.

I'm not sure I got this info to you, being a first time user...
I'm using Outlook 2003 (11.5608.5606)
