Setup of Office 97

I own Office 97, Standard Edition, original
CD. I had Windows XP put on my computer and
now I need to reinstall.
AFter I I reinstall, when I click on WORD it
says to go to setup. I've tried to setup 3 times
and don't know what to do.
My speller in Outlook won't work without WORD.
My e-mail is skippy (remove)@navnet.net
Any help will be appreciated.

Was the CD originally provided with a computer by the computer manufacturer?

Also, have you applied all the Office updates for Office 97 after
installing?
