It's very likely the keyboard is bad, how old is the laptop? Is there
any warranty remaining?
Try plugging another keyboard into the PS2 port if the laptop has one,
if it works your laptop's keyboard is bad and you'll have to replace it
or the entire laptop.
If we could answer questions like that (whioch require mind reading) would
we be volunteering our time on these things? I'd like to think if we could
read minds, we'd be doing greater things like bring peace to people who only
know war.
