Several Project and Server questions

Most of these deal with interface options and oddities, so nothing too
critical:

1. I have a project checked out from server and I check out the Global
Resource Pool to modify something on a resource. Is there a way to get
those changes to appear in the project I have open without closing project
and restarting? Sort of a "update resource pool from server" action?
2. I entered some data for a resource (in this case, "Group") and saved the
resource pool, but those changes do not show up in my plan file, even after
restarting project. If I go back to the resource pool, that data is gone.
3. Why do some options within Project save fine when working locally (My
Computer) versus logging into Project Server? specifically, Tools \
Customize \ Toolbars \ Show standard and formatting on 2 rows does not seem
to save when I run and connect to server, change this setting and restart
project. But if I do that same thing but just work locally, it saves fine.

Andy --

1. No. Project Server refreshes the resource information in a project only
if you close the project and reopen it.

2. Are you seeing errors in the server's application event log?
