shading "contemporary resume" template

There are little blocks of shading in Microsoft Word's "Contemporary Resume"
(MSWord 2003 SP1) template that I would like to darken; however, I can't find
any way to select them; they do not seem tied into cells or be part of a
watermark; some of them (the ones behind the left column items) seem tied to
the words.

If you're referring to the shading behind the headings (Objective,
Experience, Education, etc.), they're paragraph shading (Format | Borders
and Shading). But try a test print before you darken them, as you'll
probably find that the shading prints darker than it appears on the screen.

Thanks! That does work for the shading behind the words...and I figured out
that the little 'vertical' block of shading at the top is a drawn auto-shape
that can only be selected when viewing Headers and Footers...

Mahalo!
