Shading in table spells disaster

I rely on tables within which I shade certain rows and
columns. I've just converted to Office 2003 and when I
create and shade a table, and then close it, upon opening
the .doc, the shading starts to flash back and forth from
row to row and the table turns to worthless junk with
columns scrambled and compressed. I have lost hours of
work and I'm ready to scrap Word 2003 as a failure. Any
suggestions?

Hi Mike,

Which version did you convert from? Is this an older
document, or one you created new in Word 2003?

The "flashing" sounds as if it may be a problem with your
graphics card driver. If you haven't updated that, you want
to check the manufacturer's website and update the driver.
