Shadowed Text

I have a toughy. I have a client with a confidential
spreadsheet that he cannot let me see. He said that the
text and numbers appears fine on the screen, but when he
prints it is black text with what appears to be a red
shadow. I had him try another printer just to make sure
it wasn't some kind of printer driver issue. Had him
check the shadow option and he said he did and it wasn't
shadowed text. So I had him do a copy sheet to a new
workbook to see if it would strip whatever it seems to be
on there, but that didn't work. I have the workbook
recreator utility, but he can't send it to me (because
it's confidential). I don't know what else to try. Any
ideas? BTW it's Excel 2002.

Thanks,
Carla Bradley

Could be a printer head alignment issue. Is it just excel text he has a problem
with - Has he tried the maintenance option on his printer and aligned the print
heads. Is he using the latest print drivers?

What happens if you create a spreadsheet, print it out and assure yourself that
there is nothing funny about it, then send it to him to try printing. If he
still gets the red then it's likely not the spreadsheet.
