Shape dragging problems with rack-mounted equipment in Visio 2007

So, I have Visio 2007, licensed, not trial. There is a situation that whenI drag a stencil from the pre-defined list onto the page, I can move it once, and then not again. HOWEVER, when I click and drag, the pre-defined connection or mounting points DO move.

Example: I drag a sever rack into my workspace. I drag a server and mountit to the rack at U1. I then want to move that server to U5. I drag it up and it works fine. Now I want to drag it to U10. I click, drag, but only the mounting points move, not the shape image. I can rotate and lengthenthe shape, but it's center will not move again. I can cut and paste the shape, but the image will re-appear in the same spot with connection points in the middle of the screen.

The shape is not protected, neither is the rack. My only option so far hasbeen to delete the shape and drag a new one into the rack, which is a little ridiculous because I think have to replicate the shape's information.

I have tried rebooting the machine, restarting Visio, no avail. Once the shape has decided it's not going to move, it doesn't.

Am I missing something? Connecting lines move just fine. Other objects seem to move just fine, it mostly seems to be related to shapes that "mount" into a rack.

Is there something I'm missing?

I took a look at a few other posts about "shapes not moving" but they either didn't have a solution or didn't have this specific problem. Thanks for any help.
