{shape \* mergeformat

I use ENDNote in word document using Word 2003, all the shapes I drawn before
were replaced by {shape|*mergeformat} . The Endnote 'references' were now
displaced in field format as well.
I might have accidentally deleted VBA codes or pressed a wrong button.

I need to fix this urgently because this is the second last chapter of my
PhD thesis!

Press Al+F9 to toggle from display of field codes to display of field
results.

Thanx for prompt reply, toggle alt F9 did not fix the problem. I found out
going to Print then click option, unchecked the field codes. My problem is
not fixed.

You did not specify that the problem occurred on printing, so I assumed it
was a display issue only.
