Shape.Name throws method not implemented exception

D

David Thielen

Ow - this is not good. If I need to uniquely identify shapes what
should I do? I only need unique names for the duration of my method
call - when I return and PPT calls me again it's fine if they all
change.

thanks - dave

I'm assuming it doesn't throw the same exception on other shapes, just
this one?

In some circumstances, PPT will create multiple shapes with the same
name on a slide. This is a bug. If you then try to alter one of the
shape names, you get an error.
