shappmgr vs. shappmgrp

Within a multi-user environment, all users use Access 2000
with either windows XP, 2000, or 98. I need to use the
reference shappmgrp 1.0 type library or shappmgr 1.0 type
library. It seems that one works with some computers but
not others (don't know why?). If I fix the app on one
computer, it breaks on another. Is there a way to code
the proper reference for each user?
