Eula for Retail Standard version in UK says:
a. Licensed Device. You may install and use one copy of the software on the licensed device.
b. Portable Device. You may install another copy on a portable device for use by the single primary user of the licensed device.
So unless you have the Home and Student version you cannot install it on your laptop and your daughter's computer.
That depends on the Licence/version, read the EULA in eg Word
In general terms a retail version can be installed on two devices for use by
the *owner*
H&S version can be installed on 3 for use in a none commercial environment,
by the same family
