Share Template with Macros - Edit Template

Hello all,

Using Word 97 I have created a word template which contains a form with
various Macros stored in the template. I would like to distribute this
template to various individuals who have asked for a copy (remote
locations - limited IT knowledge). The problem is that the template contains
my contact details (Name, Fax, Phone, Email). Is there anyway to easily
enable the receiver of the Template to amend these details and then resave
the Template including the associated Macros?

It's easy to edit the template and resave as a new template but then the
Macros are not saved with it.

Any ideas appreciated - the Template is protected to make the form fields
work.

Thanks.

Paul.

You can put your personal details into document properties (via File >
Properties) -- that makes them easy for your users to change.

But copying the template, or opening it and saving it under a new name,
normally save its macros with it. Something is going wrong with the way
you
are saving the template if the macros are getting lost.

Bear in mind also that if the users have a late version of Word, the
macros
won't run anyway unless they are signed or the users have set their
security
to low.
Thanks - I've figured it out - I was opening the Template by double clicking
rather than right clicking and selecting Open. Doh!
