shared border formating problem?

The back ground is not set and the CSS from the theme is displaying a light blue hatched.

Your host appears to be using the FP 2002 SE which should support shared border back ground colors / images
- try opening your online site in FP and resetting the shared border background color, then running a Tools Recalculate hyperlinks

OK! I have set it in the remote web and uploaded it to the online web. No
change.,
I have opened the remote web and set it there. No change!
right slick on shared border
shared border properties
left
click color
set to black
AM I doing something wrong?

After trying EVERYTHING else...
I recreated the page that it was linking to and everything worked.
I figured that out by uploading web before I linked gifs to file.
gifs worked fine until I linked them. LIGHT BULB lit up in brain!
