Shared Borders Length Control...?

I use FP 2002.

Is there a way to control the length of the shared borders on my web pages?

I think what I really want to do requires a better understanding of CSS than
I possess. I just don't want the top and bottom shared borders to go all the
way across the viewable area of the browser window.

Not possible w/ shared borders
- use FP include pages instead
